From April 22 to 25, the CESC2024 Second China International Energy Storage Conference and Smart Energy Storage Technology and Application Exhibition, hosted by the Jiangsu Energy Storage Industry Association, was held in Nanjing. With the theme of "Assisting Dual Carbon • Storing the Future", the conference held a series of activities including a launch ceremony, a summit forum, a special forum, and a new product launch conference. According to incomplete statistics, more than 300 contracts were signed and cooperation intentions reached during the exhibition, involving a cooperation amount of nearly 100 billion yuan.

Focusing on the theme of "Assisting Dual Carbon • Storing the Future", on the morning of April 22, the CESC2024 Second China International Energy Storage Conference and Smart Energy Storage Technology and Application Exhibition opened at the Nanjing International Convention Center. Experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and government representatives from the energy storage field gathered together to discuss topics such as the development trend of the new energy storage industry, the construction of a standard system, and breakthroughs in key technologies, providing participants with a platform for a comprehensive understanding of the energy storage industry.

"This conference is not only an industry exchange event, but also a practical measure to deepen the implementation of national strategies and accelerate energy transformation in the energy storage industry." At the opening ceremony of the exhibition on April 23, Zhu Junpeng, president of the Jiangsu Energy Storage Industry Association, said that he hopes that through this exhibition, more innovative thinking will be stimulated, more substantive cooperation projects will be promoted, the energy storage industry will be upgraded, and my country's energy green and low-carbon transformation and development will be jointly promoted.

It is understood that this event has achieved fruitful results. Taking the exhibition as an opportunity, by inviting enterprises to actively connect with exhibitors, cooperation orders involving multiple application scenarios such as charging and swapping, steel production, green ships and data centers have been promoted. Among them, Linyuan Energy Storage signed more than 10 cooperation agreements during the exhibition, involving an amount of more than 10 billion yuan; Xiamen Deshunsu Technology also signed an order of nearly 600 million yuan.

 

2. Gathering resources and focusing on cutting-edge technology

New technologies, new products and new services are attracting strong attention, promoting industrial docking and empowering enterprises in both directions.

From April 23 to 25, more than 600 companies from the national energy storage field brought a series of achievements in the fields of electrochemical energy storage, water energy storage, flywheel energy storage, electromagnetic energy storage, hydrogen energy storage, thermal/cold energy storage, etc. to the exhibition, and fully displayed domestic and foreign product development and application trends in the Nanjing International Expo Center with an exhibition area of ​​36,000 square meters.

At the site, State Grid Jiangsu Comprehensive Energy Company, Huawei, China New Energy and other "three categories of top 500" enterprises exhibited thousands of various products, and the heads of the participating enterprises gave on-site explanations. At the same time, the exhibition also set up a new product release area to provide a comprehensive and three-dimensional display platform for major companies to present their achievements, and present a rich variety of cutting-edge energy storage technology products to the audience. During the exhibition, State Grid Jiangsu Comprehensive Energy Company signed a regional microgrid framework cooperation agreement with the People's Government of Zhonglou District, Changzhou City and the People's Government of Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City, to jointly promote the construction of smart microgrids and help the high-quality development of the region.

During the conference, seven special forums were held, including "Standards Leading the New Ecological Development of the Photovoltaic Storage and Charging Industry", "New Energy Storage to Promote Energy Transformation and Reform in the Steel Industry", "China's Energy Storage Industry Financing Roadshow", "Green Development of the Shipbuilding Industry", "New Energy Storage to Promote the Coordinated Development of Digitalization and Greening", "Application and Development of Long-term Energy Storage Technology", and "Human Capital in China's Energy Storage Industry". Authoritative academicians in the field of energy storage at home and abroad, top think tank experts in the industry, and representatives of leading enterprises were invited to give keynote speeches.

Among them, at the forum on the development of the new ecological environment of the photovoltaic, storage and charging and swapping industry led by standards, Fang Haifeng, chief expert of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center and deputy director of the China Automotive Policy Research Institute, pointed out that under the background of "dual carbon", the integration of photovoltaic, storage and charging and swapping is a new trend in the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry. He proposed that the pain points of heavy-duty truck electrification should be solved from five aspects: products, technology, application, cost and market, so as to promote the high-quality development of the new energy heavy-duty truck industry.
