As one of the seven theme events of CESC2024 China International Energy Storage Conference and Smart Energy Storage Technology and Application Exhibition, this event focuses on the construction of a standard system for the photovoltaic storage and charging industry, leading the development of new energy industries such as photovoltaics, new energy vehicles, and energy storage.
Xiong Binqian, Director of the Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Division of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and Director of the Provincial Automotive Industry Office, introduced that Jiangsu is a province with a large automotive industry and a number of high-quality vehicle manufacturing industries. The annual output of new energy vehicles has exceeded 1 million vehicles. The top 9 domestic power battery production companies have investment layouts in Jiangsu, and the production, sales and export of power batteries are firmly ranked first in the country. In the next step, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will support the accelerated promotion and application of battery-swap heavy trucks, and promote the rapid development of Jiangsu's new energy photovoltaic storage and charging industry from three aspects: strengthening standard guidance, continuously improving the industrial ecology, and continuously expanding the scale of demonstration applications.
Fan Jianbin, director of the IEC International Standards Promotion Center (Nanjing), said that standards play a fundamental and leading role in the development of the industry. The photovoltaic storage and charging industry requires innovations in new clean energy storage, new power systems, and even key technologies for safe and stable control of electric vehicle charging and swapping power grids. In February this year, the IEC Center successfully established the International Standards Committee for Mechanical Energy Storage on behalf of China in the International Organization for Standardization, with Chinese experts as the secretariat. Mechanical energy storage is a supplement to electrochemistry, and it is hoped that industry members in this field can jointly participate in the formulation of standards.
Yang Nan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Linfen Municipal Government of Shanxi Province, introduced the current status of Linfen's industrial development. Linfen has obvious resource advantages and is one of the three major high-quality coking coal bases in the country. The "three major blocks" along the Yellow River, along Fen, and along Taiyue have formed a staggered development, complementary advantages, and diversified linkage industrial pattern, with huge development potential. Especially in the new energy heavy truck industry, Linfen issued the "Implementation Opinions on Further Accelerating the Construction of the Interoperability and Interchangeability Ecosystem of New Energy Battery Swapping Heavy Trucks in Linfen City", providing a series of supportive policies for the construction of the new energy heavy truck battery swapping ecology. Taking this opportunity to attend the meeting, Linfen invited local governments of provinces and cities along the route and new energy vehicle ecological enterprises to jointly build the "Linfen to Lianyungang Interoperability and Interchangeability Hydrogen-Electricity Integrated Green Corridor" to clear bottlenecks and set a benchmark for the development of the new energy heavy truck industry.
Fang Haifeng, chief expert of the China Automotive Technology and Research Center and deputy director of the China Automotive Policy Research Center, pointed out that the integrated development of photovoltaic storage and charging and swapping is a new trend in the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry under the background of dual carbon, and accelerating the promotion of new energy heavy-duty trucks has become a hot topic in the industry. As an important means of production, heavy-duty trucks do have constraints on electrification at present. From a policy perspective, starting from the five aspects of products, technology, application, cost, and market, identifying pain points and focusing on them will promote the high-quality development of the new energy heavy-duty truck industry. At present, Jiangsu is building an interoperable data trading platform through a series of technology and model innovation strategies, which will effectively solve many bottlenecks in the promotion of battery-swap heavy-duty trucks.
Witnessed by government leaders, industry experts, more than 100 participating companies and multiple media, Li Xin, Chairman of Jiangsu Diantou Yichong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., solemnly announced that "Diantou Yichong will officially open all battery pack patents, production drawings and interchange verification methods to the public from now on. Relevant information can be obtained for free through Diantou Yichong's WeChat public account". Only through an open and shared standard environment can we effectively break down industry technical barriers, promote collaborative innovation in the entire industry chain, and accelerate the scale development of the heavy-duty truck battery swap industry.
At the site, the five cities of Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Linfen held a ceremony for the collaborative construction of a city-level interconnected exchange ecosystem. 16 companies signed the city-level interconnected exchange ecosystem chain corporate commitment on the spot.
In addition, representatives of enterprises and organizations such as Diantou Yichong, Kaiwo Group, XCMG New Energy, China Automotive Research Institute, Guochuang Testing, and Connie New Energy delivered keynote speeches. In his article "Thirty-six Years of Sharpening the "Two Swords" Skyworth Automobile Has Developed New Quality Productivity", Huang Hongsheng, founder of Kaiwo New Energy Automobile Group, proposed to help the rise of China's manufacturing industry through continuous technological innovation and comprehensive layout of production lines; Zhuang Mingxing, deputy general manager of Xuzhou XCMG New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., published "Xugong New Energy Green Transportation Solutions", focusing on the strategic-level XCMG new energy vehicle sector, which is committed to bringing benefits to end customers and creating value for society; Zhang Jinwei, deputy general manager of Nanjing Connie New Energy Automobile Parts Co., Ltd., published "Solar Storage and Charging Connection System Solutions", which demonstrated Connie New Energy's innovative spirit of unremitting research and continuous breakthroughs in the field of solar storage and charging as a local enterprise in Nanjing. Focusing on the two themes of "How cities can accelerate the formation of new quality productivity with the help of heavy-duty truck electrification" and "How to activate market growth through efficient configuration of solar storage and charging in operating scenarios", relevant government departments and enterprises in the new energy vehicle industry chain will attend the meeting.
